Hi everyone,

I know most of you must be like "Aw" when you see the blog roll showing a new post from my blog. Yeah,I know i've stayed aloof from my blog for a long time but then I've got my reasons. Life's been damn busy and hectic all the past weeks or rather months. Its been like School-->(Touching) Home--> Insti. Anyways, I'm not gonna blabber about all this emotional crap and bore everyone.

Lets move on.

There's so much to talk."Swine Flu" is the first thing that comes to my mind. I often think, is it gonna turn into a pandemic?? I hope not. The whole country seems to be worried about this fact and even the ministers are taking interest in this. But one thing I find funny is that whenever this health minister (Ghulam Nabi Azad) of something turns up on the TV channel giving some reports and updates,he's liking always smiling like a moron,even if he's telling about the no. of deaths. This is a kind of outrageous behaviour on his part. And one more funny aspect is the masks that are available for prevention.They're named N-95. What in the world does this mean?? Can anyone tell me the logic behind its name or it just that the manufacturer liked the nokia phone too much.

Last week, we had the investiture ceremony in the school and luckily, I've been the made the assistant head boy of the school and thats an achievement,I guess.Check out my new badge.

Lately,I've been stuck to facebook.Its games and quizzes are addictive that you just can't get enough out of them. I must say that the quizzes are awesome and the game Crazy Taxi and Jetman are great. and yeah,kamikaze race is also interesting.Check them out.

Moving on, the weather in Delhi has been keeping really good. Its been raining occasionally for a couple of days now. and the cloud cover on Delhi looks great.Check out some shots that I had taken last evening.

Random Mumblings

There was nothing much to post about all these days and I was too lazy to post in this summerish hot weather. But, still I managed to gather some of my courage to be out here.

This post is gonna be a straight-forward update of me.There's nothing new as such, but I've to keep the blog roll ticking to get more footfalls(read as cursor-falls,i.e., traffic) out here.Its been kinda long since anyone commented on my blog and thats partially the reason, I was tired of doing it, but still sometimes I feel a piece of my heart & soul lies deep within the dark theme of this blog which I had started around an year ago, with so much passion and vigour.

Now, back to present.

I'm getting so very bored in these holidays.There's everything in these summer holidays minus the fun & frolic that we used to have earlier.I didn't knew that this class 11th science is gonna be so hectic and so blood-sucking.I had the dreams that I would fulfill all my dreams of taking interest in all my hobbies: gaming,guitaring and what not, after tenth boards. At that stage, everyone thought ki : दो महीने पढ़ लो, फिर 11th मैं तोः मज्जे हैं । But till now frankly speaking, I've not felt those so called मज्जे .

I'm still to do 3 assignments and a big assignment of C++ as well, but I don't know a thing of it except some simple and basic logic tables.Anyone having knowledge of how to make logic flowcharts please comment/email me.

I saw Starsky & Hutch,starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson and also,Snoop "Doggy" Dogg had a guest appearence. The movie is good. A one time watch is fine if you want to have a light-hearted weekend. Now, next movie I'm gonna see is the oscar nominated movie : "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" .Hail, Torrents!!

Last weekend was kinda good.Celebrated with family over the occasion of my board result.I secured a respectable 91.2% overall. And I'm quite happy and satisfied with it.

Plus, I upgraded my PC's ram and bought a new TFT widescreen monitor and a 250 gigb portable hard-disk which is gonna end all my movies and music related woes.Thank God.

Hey people, its been quite a while since I've been off my blog and haven't posted anything. The point was that I was kind of losing out my interest in this blogging thing due certain time constraints.Plus, I didn't have any issue/topic to blog about which might be interesting for the readers.

You must be wondering about whats this cribbing thing got to do with the title.I would suggest : "Folks.Hold On."

But yesterday, a thing happened that amazed me and thrilled me. I would mystify it anymore.

The thing is that I got my first pay cheque(is it rather a pay cheque) for my blog through the numerous ads that I've placed.Its just a meagre amount of $7.41 but still I ain't complaining because I'm atleast satisfied that I've earned this money without any help or support,its all due to my effort which I did by bleeding my fingers on my keyboard(it doesn't bleed though,I did this just to intensify my work, so that it could be highlighted.) for churning out long posts and attracting visitors.
Amen to that.

Storm In Delhi

Last week, I think all delhities must have seen (or rather heard) the storm kinda thing that had struck the city.It was really great in itself and thats because I really like seeing the nature going wild.Dunno why, but I like the videos of storms and floods and tsunamis (minus the misery cause to the people by these vagaries of nature). Anyways, the point is that such storms in Delhi bring utmost relief and pleasure to people like me as rejuvnates all the senses which have all been rugged due to the pathetic heat of Delhi.

By the way,I was just trying out my mobile's camera's video-capturing skills, so I just tried to capture some video of the storm and lightning. But, it didn't out as good as I had expected but still for the phone's sake I have uploaded it. See it and enjoy the lil' great moment of "LIGHT" and do comment (please.).

Hey today I'm in a really great mood as I'm feeling so relaxed that I don't have my coaching so I can enjoy the whole evening without any tension and anxiety.I tell you these coaching classes(I'm in Brilliant Tutorials) are really hectic but at the same time you just can't ignore them if you want to make it through some competition.

Back to topic, these days the ads of Vodafone have been really impressive.The characters in these ads are so funny and amusing and at the same time they're so damn cute that you just can't stop a smile from coming on your face after seeing it.

Coming to the facts, these have been specially designed to "feed" to IPL audience(I read it in the newspaper).And ZooZoo merchandise, bags, keychains, T-shirts will be available soon to woo the people.

Here comes the SHOCKER:

There are real people inside those Zoozoo costumes.The ad-man deliberately chose slim-built women to suit the role.The expressions on the faces of the Zoozoos, deliberately simplistic and limited in number, were all made in rubber and pasted onto their heads.

The Ad shot was taken at 20 frames per second which made the Zoozoo’s movements hurried and comical. Of the 29 different Zoozoo ads created for the IPL, there will be a new one everyday.

Hi. I'm here with yet another random update to bore you.I know in the recent past, my posts have been not great. But still I'll try to make them great and better.

Life's getting hectic and intenser with each passing day in eleventh.I often used to hate those seniors who used to say tenth was easy(coz I found it difficult at my time) but now that I've entered 11th life's getting like hell.I don't know where I'm heading to and what's gonna happen and at this point AC/DC's song "HIGHWAY TO HELL" quite literally depicts my present condition.

Just rewinding on my life to a week or so, I performed at the house day this year on 18th-April. We performed 2 songs : "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" by Green Day and "We Will Rock You" by Queen. And guess what, just when we thought we're surely gonna win this time as others houses were not that good we were disqualified, just like last year(Read Here).

WHY?? this must be in your mind.

The answer to this is that we were disqualified as we had said in the lyrics of "We will rock you" :

"You got mud on your face,

you big disgrace...."

and it was said that the judges and other so-called "respectable" took this as a disrespect shown to them.Anyways, at the end of the day, I'm happy about not winning and rather disqualifying because this second time disqualification has given the Nalwa House the tag of "Outlaws: the real metal-heads"

IPL Season 2

So ,on the 18th of April, the second season of the much awaited Indian Premier League finally began.But, the irony is that though its called Indian Premier League ,still it isn't being played in India,but in South Africa.

But still some people might take out a connection by saying that the Father Of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi initially lived there, so all the franchises are just shifting their base from their motherland to fatherland. :D

I'm not much into betting and stuff so I can't really guess out who's gonna win. But, still as a layman I can say this time the competition's gonna be tough.

And I seriously think that this IPL 2 will be bigger and better (minus the indian crowd) much like T20 world cup as there won't be much danger of terrorists(I guess) and also there won't be any hampering over the cheerleaders. :p

Its been long since I wrote anything.One part of me is telling me not to write because there isn't any stuff to write about, but the other half of me is telling me to write something even if it gives an account of miserable and tired life.

Everything in my life seems to be coagulated at the present moment and its getting on my nerves. Science stream which I've taken in 11th is going great.

The only drawback of 11th is to go all the way to second floor.Earlier(in 10th) we were on ground floor and it was so easy to go to canteen and basketball court.Moral: We're losing out on fun!!

House days are here again..I mean they're gonna happen on saturday and again,(like last year) I'm performing with my house band.I'll disclose the songs later. But, you must be wondering that why am I feeling miserable with all these house days and stuff going on. The point is that its fun to play all the long and just practice but the irony lies in the fact that the school's authorities don't provide any room to play. The band room is all messed up and we've to play in the physics or bio lab (coz they have enough switches for us to plug in all the guitars and keyboard).Move On.

Last week, on the "april fool's day" ,i.e, 1st april. I and some of my friends went down to C.P. to roam around and hang out to celebrate our new found freedom after boards.

Some called it the "April Fools' Outing" :D .Some called it "freedom outing" and some called it other names but, I won't go into that.

Is 'it' the end of Paper Books??

Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos recently launched Amazon's latest product named "Kindle 2" in NYC. Its a e-book reader device and it has got an edge over other competitors like "Sony E-Book Reader" in terms of design and functionality.

Unlike its predecessor (Kindle1), this one is much good looking and has a sleeker design which gives it a glam look.Its very much shaped like a large iPhone; a big rectangle with rounded edges.

It has a SD slot for 2Gb onboard memory which is large enough to store some e-books.This gadget is surprisingly thin--about 0.36 inches which makes it really portable and reduces the burden of carrying heavy novels while on the go.

The software installed in it is easy to use and the e-ink display has also enabled a clearer display on the screen as compared to Kindle 1.

Boards Over, Fun Begins!

So,finally after thinking a lot over my final "Board Over",I'm here to write this post. I'm gonna write this in points(after getting inspired from other bloggers).Though,my points will be larger and more contentful.

Its been a whole long month of ordeals that I and many others like me had to face. But the true happiness lies that they're finally over and I've come out of it as a better person and maybe more confident and mature.

Apart from this,I would like to tell that in those times of suffocation and helplessness, the only thing that had a soothing effect was food.Yeah,seriously,I ate a lot of good food and a lot of junk food too and drank a loads of cups of coffees to overcome the sleepless nights. But,I've gained some pounds due to this excessive easting.Now,I need to work out and lose some flab. :p

And yeah,the most fascinating thing that gave utmost pleasure was to cut and cross the subject name on the date sheet when I came from my exam.It gave an out-of-this-world experience and the feeling is so intense that my senses fail to describe them.

Finally papers are over and I guess I did a fair job but I do have some regrets in some papers where I could have done better,if I had been a lil' more careful.But still,I'm satisfied.

Now, its time for stream allocation and as a matter of fact, I'm gonna take up Science (non-medical) alongwith (I ain't sure) .

And frankly speaking,when I gave my last exam I felt a big relief.It felt as if I've been freed of a knot that was etching me down my spine right to the brain. But, I had expected something special to happen after they were over. I mean atleast it could have rained a bit.

Now,its time to party.I'll be going out with friends tomorrow.

Admission tests for these coaching institutes are starting and I need to prepare for them too.

Also,I'm in a dilemma over which songs to play with my school's house band for the inter-house competition which going to commence shortly.(readers please recommend.)

After exams, the air seems to be more refreshing and the food more tastier and the grass more greener and sky more shinier and stars more twinklier and my pc more dumb(er).Oh god! I need to this thing upgraded.

After boards and gaining some lessons, I can only console people who're in a bad phase of their life that "If winter comes, can Spring be far behind?"

Board Bored Update

So,today I finally did the all-dreaded yet interesting paper of Science(Theory).

It was like a great paper and it looked like all my excessive मेहनत that I had done by reading all the thick-thick refrence books all went into the drain,because the paper was like easy and straight-forward except a couple of questions.

I hope to get marks if some benevolent checkers come and just distribute marks.

Now,only a 20 marks paper is left of Science MCQ and I guess its easy,though some seniors say its complicated.I'm confused.

Anyways,with just a petty paper left my condition can be described as my friend puts forth that "हाथी निकल गया है, बस पूँछ रह गई है ."

Now,I need to go and enhance some of my gaming skills in Counter Strike and maybe Need for Speed:MW.

Random Update.

Finally,I am sitting here and writing a post.Its been almost a month since I have written a post and I felt really nostalgic over my inability to keep my blog-roll ticking.Life's pretty much uninteresting and nothing great is happening except for the unnecessary tension and boredom due to boards. Talking of the boards,I'm half way down with them today and till now they've been good, but I'm not pretty sure how much I'll score.But with 3 papers down, there's only one great feeling of thinking that soon all of them are gonna be over.Once and For All.

I must confess that these couple of months,February and March 2009 have been one of the most testing and hardest months of my life.To relate to my present state of mind, I'm currently listening to AC/DC's Highway to Hell. A great song.

I've so much to write. India won the ODI series against the Kiwis in a splendid way.I saw some part of "Pursuit of Happyness".Its great and emotional [:D] (Q.S. this one made me emotional,no doubt) and really makes one cry.I'm looking forward to see the whole movie soon.

Also,my heartiest congratulations to The "Slumdog Millionaire Team" for sweeping away 8 Oscars.Phew! that was some achievement. I saw Delhi 6.Again,a great movie and Abhishek Bachchan is awesome.

And yeah, as a matter of fact, nowadays my dreams are made of "life after boards".I can't really express how much I long for those happy and picture perfect days.I can't really disclose those dreams right now,because I'm short of time .

Using Google Search = Damaging Earth!!

I've been thinking about this topic recently since I read an article in the newspaper showing how google search can cause damage to the Earth's environment.

According to a Harvard physicist, "performing two Google searches from a desktop computer can generate about the same amount of carbon dioxide as boiling a kettle" or about 7g of CO2 per search. But one thing that needs to be noted is that this does not refer to a one-hit Google search taking less than a second.As a matter of fact, the folks at Google claim that each one-hit google search generates about 0.2g of CO2 and this is widely accepted throughout the world.

This research refers to a Google search that may involve several attempts to find the object being sought and that may last for several minutes. Various experts put forward carbon emission estimates for such a search of 1g-10g depending on the time involved and the equipment used. And I guess many believe that this thing happens in most of the cases when we're doing some research work on some project on a given topic.

If this research turns out to be true,I fear that some definite environmental impact is being done to the earth which may prove disastrous in the near future.

Mechanism Of Generating Carbon Emissions

These carbon emissions are generated because Google operates huge data centres around the world that consume a great deal of power.When you type in a Google search for, say, “Apple I-Phone”, your request doesn’t go to just one server. It goes to several competing against each other.It may even be sent to servers thousands of miles apart. Google’s infrastructure sends you data from whichever produces the answer fastest. The system minimises delays but raises energy consumption.It is been guessed that Google has servers in the US, Europe, Japan and China.

On the other hand, Google is secretive about its energy consumption and carbon footprint count. It also refuses to divulge the locations of its data centres. And now there's a feeling of fear and anxiety in my mind that with more than 200 million internet searches estimated globally daily, the electricity consumption and greenhouse gas emissions caused by computers and the internet is provoking some havoc to happen sooner or later.

Google's Response to this Issue

On the other side of this issue, the officials tried to justify themselves by saying that "Google Inc. is in the forefront of green computing" and further added that "We are among the most efficient of all internet search providers."

And in their official blog they had a really super answer which could shut all the mouths but still I feel that their tone was more as if they are the ones to be accused and they are just trying to cover up the whole matter.Some excerpts of that post are here:

In fact, in the time it takes to do a Google search, your own personal computer will use more energy than Google uses to answer your query.

Recently, though, others have used much higher estimates, claiming that a typical search uses "half the energy as boiling a kettle of water" and produces 7 grams of CO2. We thought it would be helpful to explain why this number is *many* times too high. Google is fast — a typical search returns results in less than 0.2 seconds. Queries vary in degree of difficulty, but for the average query, the servers it touches each work on it for just a few thousandths of a second. Together with other work performed before your search even starts (such as building the search index) this amounts to 0.0003 kWh of energy per search, or 1 kJ. For comparison, the average adult needs about 8000 kJ a day of energy from food, so a Google search uses just about the same amount of energy that your body burns in ten seconds.

In terms of greenhouse gases, one Google search is equivalent to about 0.2 grams of CO2.

Lets move on.

Apart from using Google Search, the Harvard scholar reveals that CO2 emissions are caused by individual use of the internet as well. His research indicates that viewing a simple web page generates about 0.02g of CO2 per second. This rises tenfold to about 0.2g of CO2 a second when viewing a website with complex images, animations or videos.

Now,I feel so inspired by this research that from now on I'll try to minimize on my mindless and infinitely long google searches.And I urge others to do the same for the betterment of our planet.

Irrelevant Mumblings

To begin with, I went to Amritsar for a day on Saturday.It was a tiring day as I went in the morning and came back late at night, so it was quite a long day and the journey seemed a mere illusion as I was so bored on the way.

But the tiredness and boredom was worth it as I had a great experience in exploring the beauty of The Golden Temple. It was truly awesome and to describe its glimmering look,I'm totally outta words.The place was awesome but was over-crowded,maybe thats because of its popularity.

Except for the Golden Temple, the city is quite messy and haphazard and it becomes really pathetic for a person going from a metro city to tolerate such conditions, but atleast we can just hope that India improves,this is the only hope which is the driving force for millions of Indians.

And now,lets not deviate because I can talk on and on about this India developing and stuff because lately I've been studying a lil' bit of S.St. (HEHE).

And yeah,MaheshBhupathi and Sania Mirza bring laurels to the country by winning the Australian Open in mixed doubles category.Thank God,Sania Mirza can still play some tennis.By the way,I hate her. :P

And yes,my favourite Rafael Nadal has also won the Australian Open title by beating Roger Federer (Yipee!!).I must say,it was such a satisfying sight for any Nadal fan(like me) to see Federer crying at the end of match.

I feel so full of this syllabus that my mind has right now got into that fully saturated stage and sometimes I feel like breaking all the norms and rules and just break free but I guess this is outta question till March 30.

Also,I've my Maths practical after the next couple of days.And then,the final showdown will be beginning on March 4,so I'll be preparing for that "grand-show" now as a couple of weeks are left.So,with a very heavy heart I have to say that I'll be writing very less posts from now and if the condition gets worse ,maybe I won't write posts.

But this doesn't mean that you people stop commenting and clicking on Ads and posting on the chatbox widget because you gotta do that. :D

Hey hi.Its been a couple of days since I came in and wrote a post.And the last few posts too are boring and nothing substantial.But,all this has been happening because lately I had my pre-boards II and followed by my science practicals which were scheduled today.

Shifting to the practicals,I had a great time in the labs doing the experiments and I think I did a substantially good job in the VIVA of all three subjects.But,the only negative aspect of the practical was my physics activity which caused me a lot of pain in the fingers because of those pins which I used for the glass-slab experiment.But,in the end it turned out to be all-perfect and thats what made my pain to hide away.

Now next up is my math practical.and then the board-finale.

And one more thing,I've checked the visitors to my blog from my statcounter machine and I was really happy to find some people of Egypt, US, Philippines, Argentina, Spain and UK.Nice to see such a global audience for my blog.

Dell Adamo Unveiled

A couple of days ago,Dell unveiled its much awaited ultra-thin laptop named "Adamo" at the International International Consumer Electronics Show 2009.All's good but, its been ticking my mind what this "Adamo" actually means,but I must say that who cares about names as long as the world market is getting a quality high-end product.

Though the Dell officials haven't really let out any specifications of this latest product,but by looking at its prototype,it can be just said that The Adamo is a sleek laptop with an aluminum chassis and looks impressive and stylish.Nothing much can be said about its specifics but it'll surely gonna be a high-end machine,though the cost will be deciding factor.

It'll be made available in Black and Silver/White colour as of now.But,till now its not been put under mass-production and its still a prototype.But,once it turns out it'll surely give the people at Apple Inc. a run for their money because it'll give stiff competition to MacBook Air due to its sleek design.Also,the main doubt thats been hampering the tech-world is that whether it is thinner than MacBook Air or not.For such a situation,I've only 3 words to quote.

You'll be surprised to see me posting here even its just one day before my math exam, but to be true I just couldn't resist.I (finally) saw the all-talked about and the Award winning movie "Slumdog Millionaire".Its a one of its kind movie and I've no words to tell how awesome it was. But, that doesn't mean I won't give my review on it.

First of all,the cinematography and the locations were all so very realistic which added to the charm of a pure Indian slum,making the story look really real and interesting.The actors did full justice to the script by their almost flawless acting.The newbies Dev Patel (who played "Jamal Malik") and Freida Pinto (as Latika) were great.The story is based on the life of two brothers, Jamal and Salim who are orphaned after some riots broke out in a muslim slum of Mumbai. It showcases the true Indian mentality which involves corruption and all the things which take place undercover in India.The story revolves around Jaamal's each question on the show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" as he explains to an inspector (Irrfan Khan) how he came to knew all the answers while struggling to survive in the inferno-city life.I would do great injustice to the script if I try to explain it here because I know I won't be good at it as its a movie which has to been seen to believe.The movie showcases all from poverty to corruption to begging to black-marketting to cricket to craze for movie stars and what not.Each and every detail has been highlighted fantastically and the director Danny Boyle must be applauded for directing such a great piece of entertainment with knowledge.And yeah, A.R. Rahman's music surely needs a mention which made the aura of the movie more intenser.

I think that this movie is a great wake-up call for all the people of the country to know that there exists a different India other than the shiny India that we all have seen.Behind all the five-star hotels and malls,there exist millions of slumdogs but the need of the hour is to understand that they too are humans and something needs to be done.

Super Movie.Hats Off. And yeah it has won 4 Golden Globe Awards already and still it has a long way to go.Its releasing in India on 23rd January but thanks to Torrents, I saw it much earlier.Its just a Slumderful movie. LOL

Hey hi.I just had my Science exam today.I did good enough.I won't bore the readers by going into the details because that's of no use.

Coming back to the point,yesterday night I saw all the news channels showing the snaps of how people are suffering because of shortage of Petrol,CNG and LPG stock due to this harsh strike by oil companies' employees including officers and low workers.The transport agencies have also gone a strike and it's being said that this is an infinite strike till their demands are not met.They want lowering of Diesel prices and an increase in their wages.I think these demands are fine but the way in which they are demanding these is pathetic.They have in a way paralyzed the whole country and its consequences have been felt throughout the nation.

This is truly out of question for such a big nation like ours, that anyone can just start with a strike for their demands to be fulfilled and if they are not done,its not that the whole country stops functioning and comes to a standstill.All these looks so kiddish,more like a dog-cat fight.I don't know what the other nations of the world will be thinking about our country's power of governance.Its a shame that India can't even control its citizen,then how can it even think of controlling the opinion of other countries.(I'm referring to Pakistan's opinions on 26/11 attacks of how they are shoving off their indulgence in this act.)

I think something's ought to be done about this serious havoc thats causing hysteria throughout the nation.Its really despairing to see people queueing up in front of Petrol Pumps just to get gasoline to run their vehicles.This scenario looks more like that of a under-developed village.
On one hand,India is aiming to become the pinnacle power of the world and on the other hand,there's such a bad condition prevailing in the country.I appeal to the politicians(if someone is reading this) to stop playing dirty politics and do something substantially good for the country that helps in development.

I just want this oil strike to get over because its gonna affect me and my family because we won't be able to go out of house as we'll be stranded in our house and thats bad.I guess only the RICKSHAWWALLAS will be benefitting out this strike.They might be facing a virtous magic boom of their income because people will be preferring this mode of transport.

Happy B'day to me!!

Its my birthday today.I turn a bitter-sweet 16 amdist this cold and chilly winter season.And it feels good that I'm a year old and this '16' gives a feel that I've crossed that kiddish phase of 10-15 year old.I pledge to act more maturely now and don't show any tantrums.

Talking about today,I started my birthday by waking up at 7:30 in the morning,which is a rare thing on a holiday,but I did it to make it a lil' longer.Then with 8 in the morning, all the calls from family-friends and school friends started coming in.Then,I sat back to study some Chemistry chapters, but the calls kept ~~disturbing~~ me happy and made my day.Almost all my friends called me.The ones who were left had either scrapped me on Orkut or had sent me a PM on Facebook.

Some pledges that I need to take as I've turned 16 year old.

Be more serious about studies.
Be more enthusiatic to take part in co-curricular activities.
Be more confident in speaking and try to enhance my oration skills.
Be more decisive and mature.
Play better basketball.
Be more particular to save resources and by not polluting the surroundings.(as I do...this is coz I saw "An Inconvenient Truth" today.)
Be more friendly with friends.
Change my blog's theme to a more simple but good-looking one and which is more workable theme.And this gonna happen very soon.
Post more often and to post better stuff.
Earn money from blog and asking people to click on Ads.

Exams Galore

So,with the new year comes my new set of exams,which have been given a kind of respectful name of Pre-boards Pt.II,but they're nonetheless brutal.Like the people at Roadies each year,say that this is time its gonna be bigger and better, similar is the case about our Pre-Boards II where the teachers say its gonna be worse(in terms of students).

But,I still studied hard this time.Not to hard.But yeah,I did study.I had my S.St Paper today and I did 'okayily' in it. I had decided not to care much about PB-II but I'm the kinda guy who always studies for an exam because I don't wanna sit in the examination and just keep glaring at the watch and do nothing. But I exploited my holidays to the fullest,both in terms of academics and fun.I saw loads of movies(not actually loads,but a few).I watched Ghajini,Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Big Daddy(2nd time),Torque and some episodes of So you think you can dance (its in the final stages,a must watch).Also I've been playing NFS:MW like a fanatic.

But now,its back to studies.With the board date sheet already out,its now high-time to dig my face into books or it'll be too late.{Sartastically}.
My next paper is Science in which I wanna do good,so that 2009 starts with a scientific streak as I'm keen on taking up Science in XI.
I'm having a slight head-ache,so I'll keep it short.
Tomorrow is my birthday,.Its gonna be the dullest b'day ever coz I can't have a party with friends and for this gift the credit goes to exams,but I guess all my friends will cheer me up by their constant calls.

But still I'm not gonna be depressed because of exams and I'll have a bash with family.

Year 2008:Review.

Just a couple of days left for this one of a kind and different year of 2008 to end.This year was full of ups and downs for me personally and for the whole world at large.But,in all I would rate this year as a good one.
The year was good for me and the whole world and for that I've my reasons.

January 2008: Astroid 2007 WD5 hits Mars, knocking the planet off orbit, into an ice age, and on a collision path for Earth and was expected to hit earth on 28th Jan.-29th Jan.,but it turned out to be a hoax.
February 2008: I got a great class ninth result and bagged the 2nd position in the class with a percentage of 91.2% and got promoted to 10th.
March 2008: Had some intra-school competitions and I did good enough.
April 2008: Our school had the house days.I used my video editing skills to make the intro-video for the house and got the second prize.Also,I participated in Western Music show and me and my band performed "Summer of '69" and "Breaking the Law".I was the vocalist(just in case, you didn't knew.) Also,Steve Jobs introduces I-Phone 3G.
July -August 2008: Went to St.Xavier's computer symposium but didn't even managed to get into the finals of the quiz. :( .Also,India put up a great show at Beijing Summer Olympics.
September 2008: Had my half-yearlys and I managed to do get an 'ok' result,not so good.
October 2008: started missing classes for Different Strokes and a science model presentation.Won third prize at NSIT,Dwarka for science model.I celebrated a cracker-free diwali.
November 2008: Worked even harder(read as,missing classes) for Different Strokes for managing the quiz.We managed to get a couple of sponsors like HT,Times of India,Aakash Institute and Narayana Institute and got the food from McDonalds (as usual).The quizzing event turned out to be great,but we missed on big schools to pariticipate as we had some clashes with some other symposiums.Also,the god damned evil (terrorists) strike in Mumbai in an extra-ordinary way and create terror in minds of the people.
December 2008: Worked hard for pre-board I and got good result and managed to get 90.9%.Quite impressive. [Touch-(ing) Wood.].Went to modern school barakhamba and came 4th in quiz.The year comes to an end,with the chances of war b/w India and Pakistan increasing.

So,that was how the year went.I didn't mention much "downs" coz of reasons.I've written the ups to keep the atmosphere lively and also,coz I'm an optimist.I see the glass half full,not half-empty. Lets bid-adieu to 2008,with smiling faces.

So,CBSE has finally announced the long awaited CBSE boards date sheet.These date-sheets are surely gonna give all the students a kinda jhatka,to gear up,although the datesheet is good enough.

Though,in class 10th they have extended the exams till 30th March unlike other years where they were wrapped up by 23-24th March.But in all,the date sheets are student-friendly and I'm satisfied with them.

Cars too have personality.

See this topic has been in the back of mind for a long time now but I just wasn't getting enough time to write this post because I needed to do some research on it.But, I had decided that I would do this interesting post about the various personality traits that cars show by their looks ,before this year ends.

So lets start.I don't know if someone believes the way I think that when you see the front grill & headlights of any car,it seems to make a face,with the grill acting as a mouth and the headlights acting as the eyes.See I know this seems to be a lil' kiddish (or maybe more) but I seriously believe in what I'm saying(or rather writing.).To make you believe let me show you some snaps.

MARUTI 800

Lets start with our very own and the common man's car,i.e., Maruti 800.If you concentrate a bit and look at the headlights of the car,front grill and no. plate,you'll see that this car acts like a humble person without any dishonest ideas of cheating and is having a straight face like a stoic person.Though, this pic looks as if there is some eye-liner on the eyes (see the headlights) LOL.

SUZUKI WAGON R

Now,look at Wagon R and concentrate and you'll see a smiling face thats really attractive and welcoming and I think thats what makes it popular among the masses (other than fuel efficiency) and the orange colour indicators just enhance its appeal like eye-lids.

HYUNDAI SANTRO

Next up is Hyundai Santro which is yet another cute looking car with a jolly face and if you look carefully you'll see its small little kiddish smile.(in front grill).

Now lets move onto some meaner looking cars.

MARUTI ESTEEM

I started with a lil' mean looking car,i.e.,Maruti esteem,its got a big kinda evil smile with sleek eyes.(headlights).But still it looks good and there are more meaner cars in the market.

HONDA CITY

Next is Honda City with its evil look and and a wicked smile.Its one of the evil-looking car on roads in India and its clever-looking eyes always look as if they are up for some mischief.

Ah!Last but not the least in the devilish looks.This is Honda Civic(for those who don't know.)Its like an evil looking demon straight out of an action comic book.And yeah,its evil smile is like that of a vampire who's hungry for a sip of blood.Nonetheless, its one of the most admirable car on Delhi Roads.

FORD ENDEAVOUR

Yeah,this is like the godfather of all cars.and its got the meanest looks.

So,this was my presentation on how I look at different cars.There are lot more cars I wanna talk about but I don't have much time to spare and most importantly I wanted to showcase the basic Indian cars which are seen commonly on Indian roads.

Hey hi.I'm just writing this post just for the heck of it,to keep some chirpiness and liveliness in the blog so that it doesn't seem stagnant unlike other blogs.

Anyways,its Christmas eve and I'm feeling really bored sitting at home and just studying.And what's really getting on my nerves is that I just can't study anymore because I feel so full ( of books and knowledge) and I've read the text so many times that everything seems so repetitive that I'm fed up of it and this has caused my mind to divert from studies.Yesterday,the syllabus and all the books got so much on my nerves that I just went out of the house and just roamed for around 2-3 hours in the evening in the park near my house and just felt the nice and chilly wintry breeze on my face and I must tell it felt oh-so-refreshing and I just felt so good and the HappyDent that I was having made the whole experience even better,because it further enhanced the cooling effect.

Anyways, coming back to Christmas celebration I think I'll be celebrating my Christmas with family at home or maybe somewhere outside.Lets hope for the best because I don't have any other option as none of my friends wants to go out as everyone is involved in studying and is keeping this new year affair low this time due to exam fever.

My wishes are with everyone and I just want everyone to be happy and prosperous today and forever.[slightly excess of philosophy. :P]

Internet problems.

Hey hi.
Its been after a long time since I switched to Bharti Airtel Broadband Connection that I have to face low bandwidth speed because they provide the best of the speed.But,the people at Bharti Airtel are not to be considered as guilty because I read it in the newspaper today that the internet providing undersea cables have been damaged due to cuts in these cables by some anchors of ships near Italy and Egypt.Three submarine cables namely,SMW 4 (Sea Me We 4); SMW 5 and FLAG have been affected and this has affected the telecom industry in India and 13 other countries including Saudi Arabia,UAE,Malaysia,Pakistan,Qatar,Maldives and Zambia.

So,I just hope that this problem gets solved as soon as possible so that I can get my super-speed back and so that I don't have to slog on the internet.

Check this comparison to show the drastic changes,just to give full proof evidence of my claims

(P.S.:Pre Boards are just round the corner so I don't care whether whats the actual speed coz in any way I won't be doing much internet.)

Access 2008 huh over.

So, finally I'm here with my post talking about Access 2008.Though,I'm a bit late but my reason is that my power supply box(in CPU) got burned on 17th while I was away.So,the engineer didn't come on the day he told and I had to wait for a whole day without my computer.

Anyways talking about my 2 days at Access 2008 at Modern School were great and I made the most of it as it was my last symposium in 10th grade.Day 1 was rather uneventful as I had to wait for around 4-5 hours or so from the morning for my event.I met Abhinav a.k.a Quicksilver from DPS Dwarka and he introduced me to one of his friends Anuj from DPS Rkp.

Then me and Pulkit wandered throughout the school and explored every nook and corner of the school so as to pass our time.The canteen was great,infact,it was one of the best I've ever seen in any school and the food out there was good.The lunch organised by the school folks was just okz, not much worth.And to pass time we even did some lame photography(which I'll post later in a photographic post about Access 2008).

Then, we had our event and I guess, I did a good job but I think others were better than me thats why I didn't went on to win anything.

Day 2
Today was our(Me and Pulkit) day because today we were here for our mainstream event in which we somewhat specialize,i.e.,quizzing.We went in for Junior Quiz prelims and did a really superb job and we were sure that we would surely make it to the finals and we actually did.I was feeling good and then after it was announced officially,it began a series of calls to tell the good news to family and friends.After that we had our lunch.Again it was okz and I didn't eat much out of nervousness.Then began the finals and we're in lead in the first round then I don't know what happened to us in 2nd,3rd and 4th round as these rounds proved to be our 'bald' phases. Then in 5th round,we missed one of our direct questions which was : "What does Intel stands for?". I knew this answer but a certain aura of confusion,lack of confidence or nervousness caused this answer to slip out of my mind and the time limit just finished and we were just left showing a 'shameful' smile because its a basic quizzing questions and we should have known it. And now,this question has been in my mind and soul for the last 2 days and is haunting me constantly because if we would have answered it we would have made a podium-finish.But, atlast we came 4th and this rank proves to be a jinx for us coz of Exun 2007 where we again came 4th.

Anyways I came back home and slept.
Then next day went to school and took my papers and played basketball and then in the evening I watched I'm Legend.Its a great movie.A must-watch.

Hey I feel so good to be writing this post and every student who has given exams will easily relate to my present situation and state-of-mind as I just had my exams getting over today and it feels so good and relaxing to be sitting in front of computer for long hours and watching TV and movies all day long and reading books and magazines and that too without any restriction.
Though I've got plenty of time, today I won't be writing in the longer format, because I need to play NFS Most Wanted and also I don't want to bore you unnecessarily.

The Science MCQ paper was fine and I think I did it good enough.Then after this 1 and a half hour paper I decided not to go home on my own.I thought of staying in school till 1:30 p.m and going in the bus and this gave me opportunity to stay back and have some chilled-out time with friends.I played every game today except basketball (my fav.) because the balls were all out of use and I didn't have the thrust left in me (after exam) to pump the balls. xD

I played cricket and football,though I was screwed up in football, but when I played cricket I revived my childhood dream of becoming a cricketer when I was like a cricket-crazy moron kid who was just fanatic about cricket & its Who's-Who.

Back to present and talking about the blog,now I'm going fast on my no. of posts because I want to complete 100-posts mark in this year only and that means I've to post around 4-5 more posts in December and I think that I can easily do.Also,tomorrow is the first day of "Access 2008" at Modern School,Barakhamba Road and this is the last symposium of the year and I surely wanna do something and I'll try to put my best foot-forward and just hope for the best.Tomorrow,I'm gonna take part in "Story Writing" and I'm looking forward to catch up with some people from Delhi's tech circuit.

Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!

Yesterday evening,I saw Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! its a real laugh riot.But,while watching this film its better you switch off your brain because it does has some lame joke sequences.Its a hearty movie and has nothing to do with intellect and thats the kind of movie I wanted to see post-exams.And it was a real good experience watching such a hilarious movie and is a real stress buster.
Talking about the movie,the story is inspired by the incredible true story of Lucky Singh, an extremely charismatic and fearless confidence man and thief who socialized with the rich, famous and influential of Delhi society and then proceeded to rob them blind and his ways of fooling the people were seen to be believed.The funniest part was when it showcased the working of Delhi Police and showcased all the stuff that Lucky had stolen.It included Cars(Mercs,BMWs,Audis,etc.),scooters,phones,LCD TVs,laptops,photos,shoes,shirts,guitars,show-pieces,dogs and much more insane stuff.It was helluva funny.
Abhay Deol was at his best and Paresh Rawal acted well with his triple role.I don't about other actors as they were kinda side-ies.But,in all everything was fine and the music was fine.
There was one punjabi song (other than the title song) and I was like OMG! the singer(dunno who he was?) rapped so well in Punjabi.Can you believe it.???I have heard Punjabi Rap songs earlier also but this one was just too fine.

Science Paper

Hey hi.
Today, I feel kind of free as all my mainstream papers are over and just a Science MCQ is left and thats a short thing,just a 1 and a half hour paper.
Anyways,today again I went to school at 7:30 A.M ,but today I didn't wander like a moron in school corridors.Its got some reasons.First of all,the chilly winter breeze was taking its toll on me as I had a lil' cold since morning.So,I prefered inside and studied.Secondly,Science syllabus is so vast and never-ending like the sea that I had to study because I had no other choice because its one of the mainstream subject and I gotta do well in it.
Then,I studied hard for two hours or so and also me and my friends did a lot of kidding just to make the atmosphere lively so that no one gets tensed and everyone stays calm.I tried to keep my calm and cool throughout this time but I tell you it was really difficult(the subject as well as my attempt to chill out.)

Then started the paper and I found it quite good,I mean the standard was good,kinda board type.I liked the questions but in some questions I hated their answer because me being a lazy guy hates writing long answers and making diagrams and equations.But,now lets keep it short like the paper itself was(a 2 and a 1/2 hour paper,it was).I did quite fine and I think I'll be scoring respectable marks.After paper,chilled out with friends in canteen and basketball court.
Came back home,slept a lil' and then saw "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!" was a laugh riot.

(P.S.:I'm short of time as I need to enjoy.Now,I'm going to play FIFA 2009 and I'll give a review of the movie tomorrow.)

Hey hi.
I came here because I was really bored so I thought of posting something.Though,I'm really exhausted after the hindi paper, but still I came here.
I would today give a long-short style post describing how my day was.
Yesterday evening I was really free.I thought that I've done my Hindi thing and also,the other reason is that I didn't feel like doing it.I was so bored to the 'lid'.

10th December,2008
Today was Hindi paper.
7:30 A.M.
Reached school - studied some Hindi outta a guide because I didn't had Hindi notes.I just don't feel like doing this god-damned language subject.OMG it makes me sleep and I don't like writing it.-then,went to class- saw my math paper which our math teacher had distributed and in this way,I got to know my marks.I was really confident that I'll be scoring well because the paper was damn easy and I had done it well,owing to my hard work,I guess and also coz of my unusual liking for maths.Back to the point,I got ...(mysterious music,which you see in reality shows) I got...79 outta 80...OMG!! I was like WOW!!.I felt really good and thought that my hard work had paid off,making me feel satisfied.--then,I also met my english teacher and she told me that she was really happy with my paper.I felt good...--studied a lil' more hindi--then closed my books.

8:00 A.M.
Came to computer lab.Just to make sure my team was registered for Access 2008 at Modern School,Barakhambha Road.Then I also added my name in story writing competition,I went there last year also and it was a good experience,so I also decided to give in my name this year too.I wanted to go in for Audio Editing,but the teacher coordinator had already written the names fo 2 class 9th students.God-damned Junior Morons,taking my place.I could've done a better job at audio-editing.

9:00 A.M
Friends start pouring in.-I start studying again-this (awe)some Hindi subject-get bored-go to canteen-have some Center Fresh chewing gum- came back - and studied some grammar(or rather व्याकरण ).Then finally closed the books and started discussing about other people's result in maths and in some cases,consoling people not to cry and be sad.

10:30 A.M
Half-an-hour into the exam and I'm feeling tired.Don't know how I'll do the rest of the paper -- take off my coat -- feeling the chilly december breeze -- start writing -- literature part was lengthy -- grammar was ok. -- the paragraph in hindi was tiresome -- poem ( कविता ) was kinda fine and easy. -- I kinda screwed up the writing section,though I was good enough in letter ( पत्र ) but I think I didn't do full justice to paragraph. -- feel tired at exhausted.

1:15 P.M.
Finally outta examination hall -- feeling too exhausted after this hellova battle of Hindi paper. -- till date in this series of papers. -- this is the worst,I guess.

Now,the next paper is Science and I gotta do well in this subject,coz I like it.Though,I'm not much interested in Bio but Physics and Chemistry are good and interesting.Now,my time's up.I feel tired and now I can't type more as my eye-lids are like closing and I feel damn tired and then I also need to study.

Hey I guess I've been a day late for this post of mine telling about my english paper.I think I did it fairly enough and I'm really satisfied with what I did in the paper. Though,I'm kind of unsure about my grammar part.
Next is Hindi and I don't want to show any dis-respect to this national language of ours.But, the truth is that this is the only subject that causes my percentage to drop. :P But I'm still working hard and I'm trying to improve it so that I don't have to face a bad fate in hindi in boards.

Anyways, good for India as the so-called Indian-ness is going places and thats a proud moment for us all.Though we need to explain some ethics of our culture the wild Americans.

Short post for today coz tomorrow is English and I've not prepared much as I don't feel like.
Lets see what happens tomorrow.I'm leaving it all on my pen to do the work as its my 'lyre' that'll drive my thoughts throughout the 3-hour paper and make me fetch some fair marks.

6th December,2008.
Today I had my math exam.I woke up early and did all my chores in the morning.Though my paper starts at 1000 hours and we've to reach by 950 hours or something.But,today I decided to go to school in the morning only by school bus because I thought that it'll save the inconvenience that'll be caused to my dad as he'll have to go out of the way to drop me.And if that would not have been possible,then I would've to go on a manual rickshaw and that just truly sucks. I can't bear the slowness of that thing.

7:30 A.m.@ School(Class X-C)
I'm sitting on a front bench with no other student in the class and I've nothing to do as you know math can't be read,it has to be practised,which I didn't feel like because I was full to the neck with last night's work that I had done,by burning the midnight lamp.I just then popped out of my class and as it was Saturday...so no assembly(which I don't attend even on regular days).I hurried to the computer lab,went in and decided to surf some Internet(I've this much rights because I'm the member of Techeez Club in school.Oh damn,the net was not working.The wi-fi network had not been switched on.)

8:45 A.m. @ Ground floor corridor.
Still,I' moving like a moron,with nothing to do.Just,meeting up with some people on the way and all the people were studying.Then went in class and took a U-like Sample Papers Book and started shuffling through the solved papers.At this point of time,an instinctive aura of boredom started surrounding me and to come out of this thing,I just closed the book and went away to my exam room,i.e., XII-C and sat there.

Then after that I helped some colleagues with some doubts and yeah, eating a samosa.

Fast forward.... 12:45 P.m. :Examination Hall (last bench).
Just one 6-mark question was left and that too because of an unfair calculation that was given to be done.I was required to take out of under root 38.25 and it was reqd. to solve the question.
I just wrote down 6.194 after a lot of scribbling on question paper and desk. (I didn't have a rough sheet).

1:30 P.m. (In the bus)
I'm feeling all pleased with my good attempt at this math exam.Hoping to score good marks in it and just gearing myself for English exam which is next.

I tried out this new format of writing a post.Please comment if you like this style.I like it but its really time-consuming,but it gives a clear picture.

Hey hi.

My grand-dad is hospitalised for the past week or so.I didn't mention it here because I didn't want to make this blog more depressing as it is already much on a sad-note due to the Mumbai attacks.

Anyways, I was getting bored out there while waiting so I clicked some photos of the fishes in the aquarium, which was placed in their reception area. This is one of my 'boredom fits' which I get when I'm getting seriously bored.At such times I don't care about who's there and what anyone thinks,I'm just lost in my own wild world.I guess I saw people giving me strange looks because I was doing such a funny-ful thing in such a serious environment of a hospital.I didn't care and I just thought that " I'm not doing a crime or something." and as far as I remember I murmured in my throat " I don't give a damn,go to hell!" So,I'm very pleased to show the snaps of those not-so-beautiful and really common fishes which everyone must have seen at least a dozen times or maybe more.But still,I just wanna show up my photographic talent (which isn't really cool with mobile cameras.)

These are some shots.Picture quality sucks,I know.But I don't care as long as it looks good on my blog.

My messy S.St notes register.You can have a glimpse of my ~~tidy~~ untidy hand-writing which I'm desperately trying to improve on recommendations of various teachers & colleagues.

Atlast,my oh-so-dreadful S.St paper is finally over and some burden is off my head.I feel a lil' chilled out.

And coming to the paper,the paper was good enough.I mean the standard of question paper and stuff.It was really competitive type,I guess.I think there were some HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills)question which required some reasoning and I guess I did justice to them. Anyways,I'm satisfied with my attempt but I'll try to improve my performance in IInd Pre-Board.And now I gotta gear up for my next exam which is scheduled to be held on saturday and I think I've a strong grip over my maths concepts so I guess I'll be doing a fairer job in that paper,hopefully.

So,now a lil' update on all things new.

Its now kind of final,I confirmed it today that I'm going to Modern Barakhambha for "Access 2008" for the Junior Quiz.This'll be my last symposium as a junior quizzer coz next year onwards I'll be joining the senior band-wagon.

And yeah I checked out this advertisement of Suzuki A-Star on 'Punjabi Bagh' flyover.Also,I saw the car LIVE on roads also.Looks great and to describe it in a nut-shell its a small lil' car with chic looks and kinda impressive stats.Check out the Ad.I took the pic in a moving car,so I couldn't focus.

Eve of Pre-Boards

Hey Hi.
I just a small petty break from my pre-boards prep for my S.St paper.The syllabus is just so vast and I think I'll be lost in this 'inferno'.Anyways,I won't waste much time about cribbing about this.The point is simple I wasted a lot of time in the past days and now I'm somewhat regretting. ;)

But let me just give a quick but (un)necessary update about all the stuff thats going on in and around my not-so-interesting life.
First of all,the Mumbai attack.I mean the operation are over and now the blame game between politicians and intelligent agencies is going on.But I won't go into details and make my blog a target for all the political critics.
Then,on my personal front,tomorow onwards I'll be having my Pre-boards and I'll try as much as possible to come here and keep on giving a short and peppy update of how's it going coz I won't be able to write long posts on interesting topics.Also,I'll hopefully be participating in Modern School's "Access 2008" which has been postponed to 16-17 December. Yipee..Atleast my jinx of all symposiums will (hopefully) be broken,at last.

And yeah,yesterday I wasted around 1 hour or so to find this not-so-beautiful theme but I liked it to some extent for its dark shades and it matches my mysterious personality. HEHE. :)
I guess it'll surely be appreciated by all,but I'll surely change it as soon as possible.

So that was a nice lil' update,though I wanted to write a longer post on something more interesting but as every scratch card says "Better Luck Next Time".So, I'll also sign off or all that S.St stuff will surely take me down on the ground.

Hey Hi.

Today my day started off a lil' early at around 8 a.m. or so.But it started a with a real bad note as in the morning I came to know about the terrorist attack(s) that had taken place in Mumbai. I know the incident took place yesterday early night,but I was stuck on the Indo-English ODI cricket match and I was too lazy to browse through the news channels.

Anyways,Jokes Apart. I mean the incident which has happened yesterday is damn serious and I guess something needs to be done to curb this hellova menace.In the morning,when I saw the news and came to know about the whole plot, it seemed to be a plot from some Sylvester Stallone's action flicks.I was like awestruck.Even some of my friends to whom I talked on phone were left dumbstruck with what has happened and I was most surprised to see the terrorist's guts who don't give a damn about the rules and laws of Indian govt. Just a few minutes ago,I saw a update on Times Now that the terrorists had come to Mumbai by using jet-boats and came straight from Karachi,fully loaded with arms and ammunition and just when they reached the Indian coast near Gateway of India,they started firing.To me,all this seemed much like a mission in some GTA game.They came in Mumbai and started firing their latest AK-47s and other heavy guns and even some grenades which resulted in killing of around 100 people and injuring a massive 250 people.There was even an explosion in Taj Hotel.

Even now,there is cross-firing going on between terrorists and NSG (National Security Guard) commandos at Taj Hotel and Oberoi Hotel where the terrorists have some hostages.God knows what'll be the result of all this.

Pristine Nature

Hey Hi!
I came across this mystic and breathtaking natural lake of Afghanistan in a newspaper.The lake is called "Band-e-Amir" (meaning :"Dam of the Amir").Its located the Hindu Kush Mountains of Central Afghanistan. This lake was a tourist attraction some decades ago, but now with the war conditions out there,there have been no tourists coming there.All the swan shaped paddle boats for boating purpose,are stranded and getting rusted in the lonely environs of the place. But still, it seems like a 'heavenly beautiful piece of earth' which is there in its pristine and untouched form and I guess it must be a super peaceful place.Check out some of its shots I found on Google.

Hey Hi.
I'm posting this post just for the sake of writing something on my blog.Actually,there's nothing substantial for me to write out here.But still,I'll give it a try.
The school's going all boring and I'm not gonna bore you now by telling you how boring it actually is.I guess everyone out here is either suffering from the same boredom which I'm facing or have already faced it earlier in the recent past or so.
There's nothing new on TV as well these days.My VH1 (my fav. channel) is missing for quite a while, so I've been kinda out of touch from all my favourite shows. Curse the cable provider.I'm seriously thinking to change over to Airtel DTH service. The Ad is really good,with all the actors and sport stars roped in, but I can't tell about the service they provide. And yeah,on the cricketing circuit(rather,field) India is really on a winning streak.Thats good for us all. xD

And talking about my academics,they are all going fine now,the syllabus is almost over just a lil' bit in S.St is left but that all is being covered up with weekend extra classes.
(P.S.:these extra classes are more of basketball matches because everyone turns up late and tired after playing basketball for hours.)
And now the time has come to sit back at home and ~~relax~~ do self study.
And yeah there's even a big DPS (or rather Exun dilemma) in the middle of my headbecause no teacher is ready to go and moreover our school authorities are also questioning us for going to exun 2008 because its on 29th and thats the election polling day in Delhi.Oh Damn!!

There ain't interesting stuff going on out here in school.Life's getting boring and more hectic with each passing day.Had a really big and tired day at school.All 8 periods academics,even an extra class in assembly time in school.I would have rather gone to DPS MR and attended WArP,but not many members of my IT club were willing to go as most members are in board classes ,i.e.,10th and 12th,so just studying business.

Anyways, me and my classmates did have fun in the class.The point is that many students like to take PANGA with the teachers so that somewhat gives us all a nice yet deserving break.

DPS dilemma.

Hey hi.
These DPS society folks have put me in a big dilemma because they have scheduled all their IT symposiums (which I always long for) at the wrong time, i.e., they are all scheduled at such a worse time of the year when there's the pressure of IInd term exams and this exam fear feels like a sword that's constantly pricking on my neck and will fall anytime.

See there's DPS Mathura Road's event "WARP" on 19th of this month.Then, there's DPS Vasant Kunj's event "Code Wars" on 21st November and then after a week or so, there's this big mega event of DPS R.K. Puram "EXUN 2008" on 29th and 30th November.
I really want to be a part of all these.Last year,I gave DPS-VK's event a miss because of some reasons,but I went to DPS-RKP and WE became the finalists in the quiz,though it wasn't exactly a 'podium-reaching' attempt.So,this time I want to go there again and (try to) relive the magic.But the climax is that its on 29th and from 4th December onwards I've my IInd term exams and the first exam is of Social Studies.I guess the name is bold enough(literally and figuratively) to make you understand,what I wish to convey.That's not a problem,though,I'll somewhat try to cover up the syllabus beforehand.But the biggest problem is to convince my folks at home.
Someone please help.The same scene is there in every 'Techeez' member's household.

Also,there's this event CORE of DPS -Dwarka,I don't know when is it,though and we haven't got an invite from them.So,thats out of question.And yeah,there's this TCS IT Whiz Quiz on 11th December at IIT delhi,but that's totally out of question because on 12th,I've my science exam and it'll surely be taking the shit out of me.

As a conclusion,I would just like to advice DPSites to keep their symposiums in October like they always do.Please don't mind.This post is not aimed to show show any disrespect to DPSites.

My Update.

Hey here is a quick update of whats going around me and whats new and what am I upto?

Yesterday was my S.St extra class in the morning,though it was a holiday.Got up early-went to school before the allotted time-played basketball with friends.

Then studied for an hour or so and then more basketball...then some more studies...then class ended and which meant more basketball as I'm addicted to it.Then after that came outta school and started walking slowly with friends towards my home...,though its not a walkable distance.
But still,I'm somewhat of a nature lover at heart so I decided to take a stroll and enjoy the beauty of nature and feeling the warmth of sun in this cold weather...but soon the so called 'nature lover' died out in me..so I took a rickshaw(the manual one) and came back home and slept.

Anyways, Audi R8 has been launched in Delhi and it costs nearly 1.7 crores (INR).WOW! thats a big price,I guess.

And yeah,I got a new pair of lenses fitted in my old spectacle frame,so its like "New wine in Old bottle.".[was this a lame joke??]So,the world looks much fresher and enriching now.

And yeah Pre-boards are coming nearer and nearer with each passing day and pressure is building up...

Thats all...I couldn't write a long post on an issue or topic because I'm short of time.

Hey yipee....!!
my blog is going places these days.I had started a poll asking who'll become the next US president and the result I had there stated that Barack Obama will surely become the next US President.
And here he's as the next president of US.I guess he proves to be a good president for all the world as the whole global economy and stuff,moves around USA.
Have a look at this poster of Obama,I really like this one.

But,yeah there's one contradiction in his behaviour (post-victory) that he hasn't called up any Indian PM or president since he has won.He has called up heads of 15 nations ,including our biggest counter-part,Pakistan's Zardari, but I think its wrong on his part to ignore India which is surely a buzzing nation and has potential to give Americans (read as dumbs) a run for their money.
Ok now no more into politics.

Talking about sports,though I'm not much interested in the ongoing Indo-Aus test series,but still I guess its worth it for me as a patriot of my nation to tell all my Indian friends that India has won the test-series 2-0.For other details log on to cricketnext.com.
As-a-matter-of-fact,I hate Test Cricket as its too slow and boring and I guess its better for the old hats,I prefer T20.

Different Strokes was FuN!!

Hey hi.
Today was my school's annual inter-school fest "Different Strokes" and it went smoothly.This time around I was the organizer of the IT quiz.So,I did all the back-stage stuff which includes making up the quiz and rules and preparing for the finals round which was brushing up my accent and stuff. The main drawback of organizing all these events is that the main people who do all the hard field-work don't get much attention and recognition.
Anyways,no point in complaining because it was in all an enriching experience for me and I gained a lot of knowledge out of this.Talking about the quiz,I guess me and my partner Pulkit did quite a fair job as starters.

And now talking about the US elections...
Barack Obama has won the presidential elections...so I think that he'll be helpful and supportive like a good prez and be useful to USA ,to India and to the whole world at large.

Hey while doing some googling..Oh I penned a new term .WOW!!
Anyways back to the point,I mean just now I was doing some searches on Sony PSP just like that and in the middle of all this I came across new PSP concepts that are soon gonna be turned into real-life gadgets in the near future.It'll surely be a dream come true experience for some rookie game-players like me who seem to admire each and every graphic and styling in the games.

his the first concept I saw on Google.It was fine but I think its gonna be more bulkier and deformed than the present PSP,but the touch-screen feature makes it stand out of the crowd.

This is the PSP concept from Sony Ericsson.The design is somewhat similar to the present one,but still is cool enough.

This is another concept Of Sony PSP which I found in Google Image Search.Looks more like a mini laptop,but is not pocket-sized,so it isn't portable enough.

And yeah, I found another concept in the WHAT'S HOT magazine that comes with Delhi Times (Times of India,Delhi).It was kind of cooler than all these.Check it out.

It has been designed by Designer Tai Chiem and he has chipped in a flexible OLED display that can be rolled into the cylindrical key etched console.When switched on,the electric charge powering the display stiffens the screen and the stereo speakers on the sides double up as a jog wheel and camera control.It's surely a hellova design and it can't as portable as this.

Hey hi.I feel greatly honoured to inform that our Indian ace chess player Viswanathan Anand has won the World Championship title by beating Vladimir Kramnik.
Yesterday's match was really crucial for Kramnik as it was do or die for him to remain in the series and when our Indian player won the match it felt as if the sword of Damocles which was hanging on Kramnik throughout the match fell down his neck,as he lost the match.
So,now V. Anand is the ultimate chess player in the world.May God bless him.

Diwali

Hey,today is the holy festival of Diwali.It has got many religious stories attached to it and that makes it very sacred.But, yesterday night I was out in my society's park for a little stroll just to loosen up my mind and soul as I was really bugged up with the whole careless and mind-blocking scenario that was just clogging my head a lot for the last few days, like water that is clogging the mud in a paddy field(a scientific fact),oh see I remember some of my notes from my geography class.
So,now back to the point I was trying to convey that this year I'm not gonna blow up crackers and stuff,because this time around I feel I've become aware and concerned about saving our planet earth after seeing the great movie "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore.That movie was a real inspirational movie and I guess every school should show it to all students atleast once.
So,it was yesterday night I saw 2 young guys firing crackers and that was emitting so much smoke and that too purely white and hazardous and at that point of time I felt as if I could feel the poisonous gas on my skin and I started seeing images of Arctic Ice glaciers melting in the star-studded sky and that image was horrifying.
I guess the notion of celebrating Diwali has changed over the years and I think its getting worse and worse,and now its more of a show-off celebration among people and there's a kind of competition among families of who blows up the most amount of money on crackers and I don't understand what kind of high people get in blowing off a 5000 rupee rocket in sky which survives for some nano-seconds and then it goes nowhere.WHATS THE USE???

So in the end my message is to just have a safe,happy and prosperous Diwali without causing harm to yourself and at the large scale, to the earth.

yesterday I was out with my family to go to CP for chilling out and just like that.So on the way I decided to take some pics of very weird things that I come across.

Such spelling mistakes are really common.But this is the first time I had seen something like this.

Are the authorities seeing this.On one side they are putting sign-boards suggesting that we should keep Delhi green and clean.I know this is a really common sight for most delhities but I decided to capture it.But,I must say this menace should stop before 2010 Commonwealth Games,otherwise we'll have to face a lot of criticism from around the world.

Hey hi...
so today was my last day at school,I mean now I've a 6-day holiday for Diwali so I'm kind-of looking forward to it.The main point of holidays is the endless sleep I get...apart from this there's nothing great about holidays because I get bored at home and sometimes it so piles up that I become home-sick and at that point of saturation I feel like breaking free.
Today school was good...kind of less studies as compared to everyday schedule,so it was easy going. I was involved in organizing the inter-school festival the whole day so this helped me to miss the boring hindi classes.Anyways,there's one sad news also that our uniform shop and TT rooms have been blown off in the accidental fire that occured on Wednesday evening.Everything is literally turned to ashes and nothing is left,but the main point is that the my favourite hang-out spot,i.e, the basketball court has been sealed as of now till repair work is done and everything is safe.So,lately, I've been deprived of my birth-right of playing basketball but school folks must not worry as these I'm in a very generous mood,so I won't complain to the courts and all. LOL.

Today in the break time, me and some of my friends were trying to write lyrics for a rap song and I think we did quite a fair job.I don't remember the lyrics much now.So,I'll show you the song in a some days.

Hey hi...
I can't remember how many days it has been since I last came here.The point is that I was really busy the last few days or should I say weeks.There were the papers earlier and then the results,so I was busy waiting for the result...not exactly though.
Then there came up a science exhibition for exhibiting my science project at Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, a premier institute in Dwarka.And yeah,our team came third,so it isn't that bad.
Simultaneously,I was busy doing work for "Different Strokes",our annual Inter-school fest. This time I'm not going old-school by just participating in the same ol' IT quiz,but the interesting part is that I'm designing and making the quiz and I guess I'll host it also alongwith my partner Pulkit Arora, a great techie buddy.I decided to take up this designing and stuff because i think that this will surely help me in increasing my knowledge and help in getting a lot of exposure...so its good!! So,I'm loking forward to this fest.
And,mind it(the quizzers) :the quiz is really competitive and kind of tough, so you all gotta be studying.

And now talking about my experience at NSIT,it was great with all the infrastructure and facilities,it looked just so hip-n-happening and the whole aura was so different and cool.There was music and hundreds of students and loads of events going on,which I didn't see before.So,in all it was a true learning experience.

Also, I'm glad that Barack Obama is leading all the way in majority of states.I'm really impressed by his dynamic personality.
Also I'm really sad over the economic depression(or recession) that's going on around the world and I guess it has even struck the Indian market as I came to know that this Diwali,very less electronic items are selling in the market.But I really got a set-back these days as the chicken prices are going sky-high in Delhi restaurants.Even KFC and McDonalds have increased their rates of chicken products...OH MY GOD....I'm a big foodie and that too of chicken..LOL..
so tell me how am I gonna survive???? I'm already missing the crunch of the KFC chicken.

Theory of Head-Banging \m/

Hey hi,

These days I've been listening to some really rock and metal music and the most important thing I noticed is that while listening to it, my head just automatically moves up and down,

this phenomena is known as head-banging(this I know).But what isn't really getting in my head is that why the head shakes,I mean its really an unconscious movement and one just can't control it.

If you don't believe me then try it yourself...put on Nickelback's 'Rockstar' and I bet you'll surely shake your head at some point of time with the rhythm of the music.**

**Conditions Apply.This is applicable ONLY for teenagers and people in their early 20s or something and for those rock-loving fans.Its not applicable for old people(no disrespect),who listen only to ABBA and George Micheal and some Boney M..and other oldies(read as Slow musicians.)

But, yeah all people can try it out!!

So, to remove my doubts,I did a kind of research on this subject and here's some results I've found out.

Official Definition of Head-Banging (from wikipedia) :

"Headbanging is a type of dance which involves violently shaking the head in time with music, most commonly rock music and heavy metal music."

Origin of Head-Banging:

Hey hi...A couple of days ago I read in the newspaper that due to the popularity of the Republican vice-presidential nominee, Sarah Palin a Japanese designer Kazuo Kawasaki is making a lot of bucks out of it as he's the one who designs such frames.

The news said that Optical practices in America are experiencing a surge in demand for the rimless spectacles worn by Sarah Palin.There has been a high demand of such frames and people are demanding such frames,so these have been nicknamed as "Sarah Palin glasses".

These frames cost $375/ frame and these have been designed by Japanese designer Kazuo Kawasaki and are from his collection’s 704 series and these are made from titanium.

As a conclusion,I would just like to say that I don't think there's anything much special about these frames ... these titanium frames were even available earlier in the market much before Sarah Palin came into lime-light. hey hi...

Exams over at last and I feel like now I can breath some fresh air and it looks as if the sky is more blue,trees are looking more greener and flowers are smelling better.

Ohk now...too much of philosophy... but I just can't help it... Today was my english paper and that poem "Ode to the West Wind" is still revolving in my mind. Though its a great poem I kind of like it as I think it has got a deep meaning which is why I like it.

Anyways coming back to the paper,I think I somewhat did a fair job and I hope I'll fair marks in it.Ok now no more talking about exams or results whatever...

Its kind of 'Balle-balle' times as exams are over..YIPEE!!

Now lemme shift my focus to my second love other than computers,Automobiles which includes cars and bikes and trucks(LOL) and other mean machines.

The TATA's have pulled out of Bengal after that Singur issue.I don't know about it much.Now they are planning to set up their plant in Gujarat,i think.Anyways I'm not much appreciative of this 1 lakh car because I think this is surely gonna make our already-crowded city roads much more crowded and this will have severe consequences as every one will buying this 1 lakh car and make the roads more pathetic and Also,I think this car will be a flop because its just too small and I think it'll surely break down on the Oh-so-good Indian roads.

too much of these small cars, lets move onto the sedan segment.I think everyone will be glad to hear that folks have launched the new variant of HONDA CITY.I saw its picture in the newspaper and it looks so damn cool and stylish ,much better than the older version.

Yesterday I was just lying down and just thinking about all the good and great things around me.Then, I started thinking about all the great tech-companies and I was dreaming that maybe I could be in one of them.Just then I counted all the best tech companies and I was surprised to found that all the greatest company which have made it big in the internet world have rather strange and funny names...a lot unusual names.

What I think is that finding a great domain name doesn't necessarily translate to a popular website; quite often, strangely named websites have struck gold. Here's a list of 5 such companies

1. Google
It doesn't get any stranger - or bigger - than this. This Mountain View-based search giant's name is seemingly based on the word 'googol' (I found this on wikipedia) which, has as little to do with search as google does. But who cares? It's the world's most popular search engine.

2. Yahoo!
Once again, what has the name 'Yahoo!' got to do with any of its services (or anything at all)? Nothing.But still its getting a lot of fame,success,money and yeah the best techies in the world.

3. Youtube
Probably one of the world's most popular websites, it is a video-sharing site with another strange name, but who cares? (I repeat myself, but that's the whole point behind this post: the name doesn't matter!)The point is what a 'tube' gotta do with videos of people doing funny stuff.

4. Digg
Although Digg is often used as both a noun and a verb on digg.com, the word itself has no inherent meaning nor does it serve any purpose, as such.Though it has a useless name,but still its a one-stop website for all entertainment,news and a lot of more stuff.

5. Flickr
Okay, arguably flickr does mean something (i.e. Flicker).I guess it has something to do with 'flickering of light',I guess. But it's totally unrelated to the site.

And that's the list. 5 weird names. Extremely successful, despite the names.

The success is ofcourse due to something: innovation. All these sites brought something new to the tech world and thereby to the people and established themselves, these brands got away with loads of success with some of strangest names. But then, that's life.

The list of such companies/sites is endless. Reditt, Odeo, Kanoodle, Zoomr,Bebo,Apple etc.

So that's folk I'll continue to give such weirdo comments and opinions..

hey hi...

at last today I gave my S.St paper and I would rate it with just a 'FINE'...I got really tired writing the paper because I've never really written for 3 continuous hours in the past months so it was really painful.. at one point I felt like I'll not be able to complete the paper...so I wrote the middle of the paper really fast and messed up everything with really bad hand-writing..but then at last I realized that I have some time and slowed down and did the last set of questions quite calmly and completed the paper in time.

Now the next paper is Hindi and I must tell you I'm kinda lame in Hindi,its a really tough language...all of us,i mean my friends make fun of it by calling it the RASHTRA BHASHA in a true Hindi accent and thats just so funny.

Now I gotta go and study...maybe I won't be able to come and tell about how my paper was..because after hindi I've the science and that's really tough..

Science Practicals...

Hey hi..

today I had my science practicals and yeah I had somehow managed to complete all my practical files well in time...THANK GOD!!

Anyways,the whole practical thing went all very well...the viva was quite great and I got an 'A' grade in it...so I guess its not bad. And I carried out all the experiments hassle free.But my physics practical sheet was about to get washed off.....It had a lil' expansion of ink due to water but I managed to stop it and clean up that mess.

All this practical bussiness was rather fun and now I've to concentrate on my theory papers which are gonna be tough...I guess.

I'm short of time today..as now I've to study for S.St which is my first exam on monday and it has got VASt syllabus and I'm kinda drowning in its vastness so I better waste no time.

Hey hi...

today I just went to school so as to just chill out and calm myself before the exams and also to study.Only 6 students had come to my class and it was fun to be in such a isolated class.The best part was that no teacher came to the class and there was a sense of freedom that we all could feel...

I played basketball for about 2 periods and Table Tennis in class on teacher's table.Also, we did a lot of stunts and out-of-the-world moves in the class and we even recorded them in a camera...LOL

We did everything we earlier had only dreamt of doing in the class with friends...we danced,we jumped on desks and chairs and played cricket....and a whole many things...And yeah I also studied also...I prepared for my practicals which are gonna be held tomorrow.

Anyways I'll try to add some of the videos which we shot on you-tube as soon as possible after doing some touch-ups to it and adding some music. Though,I don't think this 'soon' of mine won't come very soon because now atleast for a week and a half I'm really busy with exams so I won't be getting much time to do such things because these exams are really hectic and they are a pain in the head and are getting on my nerves but like many others I can't do anything and I'm helpless.....

ok..now lets not get the mood out here anymore sentimental...I want to just be cool and calm before my exams....

And yeah,I won't be able to come up here as frequently as I'm doing now because there's a lot to study...but still I would surely TRY to give the updates how the exams are going and stuff like that...

Hey hi...

this saturday I saw the movie "ROCK ON!".Damn good movie based on old,priceless friendships and music.It was a really great movie with superb music and the script and story-line was quite awesome.I was impressed by the acting and singing ability of Farhan Akhtar.It was just so natural and effort-less.

Anyways,this movie has surely revived my guitaring instincts which were slowly fading due to the pressure of studies.

And yeah on monday while playing basketball I hit a shot from the half-court and that too without touching the board.It was awesome,everyone was like "WOW"!!

Now coming back to studies,on friday i've my Science practicals and my files are still not complete.Oh gosh!!

Last couple of days...

Hey hi....

its been long since I've written anything on my blog.Its not that I haven't come online.Its that since a week or so,I'm addicted to games and quizzes on facebook. They are just so addictive that I spend all my time there.

Anyways on friday I saw an English Premier league match b/w Chelsea and Manchester Utd.It ended with a draw of 1-1.The main thing is that I can't see these football matches for a continous period of time.I get a little restless watching the same old passes and shoots,so I tend to shuffle the channels.So,while doing this I came across a program named "Fully Faltoo Film Festival" and in this hellova film festival a movie named : "BECHARE ZAMEEN PAR" was having its premier. Damn,it was a 45-minute movie and I really liked it.It made a big joke out of Oscar-nominee for India "Taare Zameen Par".It was fun and the lead actor VJ Cyrus Sahukar was just so good. LOL.

On my academic front,I'm nowadays staying at home on a kind of preparatory leave for Half-yearlys so as to prepare for my half-yearlys.

And these days I'm really worried about the whole scenario of terrorism in delhi.All the terrorist attacks that have occured have shook the Delhities from their roots and this has created a sense of terror and fear in their minds.Even I feel fearful when I go out nowadays.So,I guess something substantial must be done to curb this menace.

Anyways coming back to exams,on friday I've my Science practicals so my fingers are all crossed because I'm really nervous.

hey hi....

last sunday I had gone to Metro walk,Rohini for my best friend,Siddharth's b'day.It was really great but let me get into the details.I had decided to go along with 2 of my friends,(Sarthak n Shawn on metro) so that I have some company.

On the station,the security was all so tight because of 13th september's blasts.So the police-guy at the security check damn almost crushed my gift pack which I was taking for Sid.

After,I reached on the metro platform and called them up thrice and all they were saying that "we're on our way...."

Damn I had to leave 2/3 trains for them.Then when they arrived they told me about their goof-up that they had boarded the train which was going in the opposite direction..Oh God!! This is sheer foolishness.!!

Anyways then we reached the place and we did all those hand-shaking and wishing kind of thing and then we played games at the game parlour(F-123).

After that all remaining people started coming...the gals of our group came and they looked good..hehehehe
Then we went upstairs and did some 'window-shopping' and checked out some stuff and yeah clicked some photos.It was fun.Check out some shots.

Hey hi...

Today's morning turned out to be quite good,lucky and 'Zoomy'(you'll understand why?).this happened as I was out with my family towards Dhaula Kuan and C.P. and believe me it was the best ride any car lover would want to have.(I'm not talking about the car I was riding.)

One after the other great and dream cars zipped pass on the road leaving me awestruck.

First came a BMW 3 series sedan. After that I saw a solid black colored Audi Q7. The person behind the wheel was driving the car so slowly and gracefully as if he was letting people turn their heads and have a good look at this powerful beauty.After that I saw another BMW car but this time it was a of 7 series and after that I saw 2 big Mercs on after the other.It was amazing.Though I don't like Mercs anymore as now they are now very common in Delhi.So,I'm bored of these. Then I saw a BMW 5 series sedan.It was damn beautiful and as it zipped pass I was mesmerised by the 'humming' of its engine. It was like I could feel the energy inside it. Then after that I saw a couple of self-customized cruiser bikes being driven by punks.

So,all these beauties made my day today.

9/11 Anniversary...

Hey Hi....

today I had to come and write out a post.Thats because today is 9/11 which i believe is a really big emotional and sentimental day as it has some really distressful memories linked to it.For the people who don't know what I'm talking about let me tell you about the attack on US's twin towers which was done by the Al-Qaida terrorist groups under the one and only 'OSAMA BIN LADEN' on 9th september 2001.I really don't know the facts about the whole incident as I was to young at that time(7 years ago).But still I know that it had a very severe impact on the whole world and the US people were shook from their roots.

I was reading in the newspaper that this 9/11 incident has become the most often used phrase in the world and people nowadays often use this term to signify disaster on a massive scale.

Anyways now I need to shift my focus towards the news that has been making the whole world cross their fingers. The news about the test being conducted by CERN (European Association for Nuclear Research). It is the largest particle physics lab in the world and its conducting a test in their machine called Large Hadron Collider(LHC).They are gonna collide protons in it and recreate whatever happened in the Big Bang and the people around the world are screaming(not literally) that in this experiment a black hole is gonna be created which is going to suck the earth.But as I go by the facts,I knew from the very beginning that all this thing is gonna be full-proof and there will be no danger to mankind.Also,I read the article by the world renowned scientist Sir Stephen Hawking and that further made be believe that nothing is going to happen by this experiment.Anyways for more info on this topic google it up or just visit CERN's official website : www.cern.ch and verify all your queries.

Coming back to my life,today was a rather fine day at school.The first half was all-so-boring and to worse all these things I had a not-so-severe headache which made me rather emotional.But then in the break,my friends took me outside and they made me very happy!! After that the rest of the day was fine.

But now the tension is building up as only 17/18 days are left for the Half-Yearlys and my preparation isn't that good,I suppose.

So now to strengthen my preparations for the upcoming exams I gotta go and study.

So atlast I would just like to quote a nano-tale(6 word stories).

Today I'm going to introduce you to some of my friends who sit with me and we've all the fun in the class.

first of all,There's

Siddharth Kalra,my best friend. I sit with him.A great guy with loads of creativity and he's knowledgeable too.A good Keyboard player.

A great person at heart and is really helpful.

Then,Naman Kala a good friend of mine.Sits 2 seats behind me. Captain of football team.He's a very helpful buddy who has a emotional side also.

Then,Sarthak Khanna a dear friend.Got killer looks and hairstyle.Is innovative and a bass guitarist.I'm grateful to him for helping me to get into the habit of listening english songs.He's kind of a Punk.

Rachit a.k.a. Shawn Mehra,Sarthak's best buddy and a great personality.He's one of those guys who can dare to do any damn thing.A good friend of mine.An acoustic guitarist

Sagar Chawdhary(or Choudhary).A great person who's a big patriot.Loves to fiddle around but is serious at time of studies.A classical keyboard player

Manav Kaila A not-so-great person and just likes to do mauj-masti all the time.Is a real dude.Drives a customized Santro.A good drummer and is really helpful in doing jugaddu works.Keeps the atmosphere of the class happy with his on-the-spot jokes and wittiness.

Benjamyn Mathew.A great artist and a good friend of mine.Is fun-loving and a prankster.Is great at studying and is also a football freak.

Deven Deswal.WAS a friend of mine but now we've parted ways.A good footballer.He's tall and handsome and can give any model a run for his money.

Then there's Sonali Khanna and Saloni Dudeja who are good friends and are really helpful.they are great in studies also.They are the best of friends I've ever seen.

These are some of the people who are really supportive and we all are kind of a group.There are some more about whom I'll tell you tomorrow as I'm kind of short of time today.

Sorry its been long since I've written a post...

Anyways the Teachers day function was a great success and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Though I feel guilty that I didnt go and wish any of the teachers.Damn Me!!

Boring Life

hey hi...
its been a couple of days since my last post but the sole reason was that I didn't have much to write about.Anyways today was a fine day....the studies were quite fine and had a lot of time to roam about and check out the teacher's day function preparations going on.It was fun...
So now I'm looking forward to tomorrow's function...i guess its going to be successful.
coming back to my life,life is so-so.Nothing going on my way.Yesterday was quite an awful day coz
my pant while doing some football stunts(at which I'm NOT good) got torn so I had to keep a low profile in the early half but later on I changed into new ones.
And life is getting lonely day-by-day with no socializing and with intensive studies its getting stressful and Everyone is busy in their own lives and no one gives a damn about any other person.
Anyways now I gotta go.I've some work.

Goin down the memory lane....

Hey Hi....
today was a fine day,though fully loaded with studies.Anyways,Today I got my hands(after a long time) on an electric guitar in school and it was so heavenly to listen to the distorted sound coming out of the amplifier and all this revived my old memories of the few early months of this year.
It reminded me of the house days when we used to sing and play music all the day long while practicing for our gig.It was kind of a whole story in those days with a bit of climax also.I was one of the 2 lead vocalists and we had to lead electric guitarists and a third guitarist on an acoustic guitar and we had a drummer and a keyboard player.
All was going well and we were thinking of doing three songs in all,namely,Summer of 69(Bryan Adams),Breaking the Law(Judas Priest) and Smells like Teen Spirit(Nirvana).Our preparation was going really smooth and we were way ahead of our competitors(it was an inter-house competition).

But as you know everything doesn't go as we want it,something always goes wrong when everything seems almost perfect and we're nearing success.So, in all this ,our lead guitarist a guy from 12th was down with Chicken Pox and another day our other lead guitarist was down with fever.We lost all our hope and I almost gave up the idea of participating as we had to give a lil' rehearsal on that day.So,then our acoustic guitarist,my classmate, gathered up all his confidence and played the music of Summer of 69 totally unplugged.I really mean UNPLUGGED!! It was such a great feat.We gave our performance and it was liked by all.But still we knew this was not enough for us to win the competition.
So,in a couple of days we made phone calls and SMSes to our lead electric guitarists and as they were true 'metal-heads' they didnt give up their hope and came back with a bang just three days prior to the gig.And yeah they didnt needed to practice much now as they had practiced a lot all the 'riffs' and 'solos' in this unusual break.But now we decided to do only two songs,i.e.,Summer of 69 and Breaking the Law.We then practiced non-stop all day long in band room ,classrooms, hindi room and even in the Bio and Physics Labs.We even stayed back one day and synchronised our various instruments and vocals till the evening.
Anyways,on the D-day,i.e.,on the day of the show we gave a great performance and all the school cheered it a lot.It was quite a good performance.Others performance was also quite nice and only one house had a 'rock' performance which was at par with ours.
And when the results were being announced, we were already ready to stand up and shout!!
but we got the 3rd position out of 4 houses and 1st was got by the other 'rock' house.the others had done so called 'soft-emotional' songs which was liked by the judge who was an old lady who didn't really appreciate Rock songs.She said we were the true winners but our second song : BREAKING THE LAW sent wrong vibes.Even the headmistress and chairperson consolled us but we're in so much angst that we dashed out of the auditorium,sulking.
So,that's how we lost and life took different twists n turns altogether.
Now I'm looking forward to the teacher's day gig being performed by 12thies and I think its gonna be a great success.lets hope for the best!!

A new month,a new beginning.....

Hey Hi....
so today is 1st September and its the ninth month of the year....
and barely 5 months excluding this month is left for my boards and the dreaded clock has just started ticking and each of its 'tick' is echoing in my heart,mind and soul altogether.....The pressure is building up and there's so much 'pushing' by teachers and parents,it seems as if the more they 'push',the distractions are 'pulling' me more...
I'm still trying to improve my handwriting but its all going on in vain as I have to speed up my work in class or I'll miss my notes and the most dreadful thing is that the 10thies are not allowed to take part in any extra-curricular activities.The teacher's day is approaching and the folks at school are not even allowing students to even come near practice area...forget about participating in it!!
Even we can't even go to the band room and soothe ourselves by some guitaring as the school authorities have instructed the band teacher not to allow 10thies nd 12thies.

And I'm really sorry to read about the death of two students in DPS ,R.K. Puram and DPS, Mathura Road.I guess the DPS society must have been shocked at the consecutive accidents that have occurred.
So,by now you must have come to know that my Monday(s) and Tuesday(s) are the most tired in school.So,I'm not gonna mourn about how tired I'm today and make you feel bored.
So,these days music is the only thing that soothes me...sometimes I play the guitar(though I'm still a beginner)...but the sound that comes while strumming my six-strings is just so cool and makes me fresh and full-of-energy.Also,now I started listening to R&B again...though I haven't completely given up Rock...but I don't seem to like Thrash Metal and other OH-SO-LOUD noisy and wild bands.
Ok...now I gotta go...
