Nothing great.....

Hey Hi.....
life's is going all boring...yesterday was the result day and I think I fared quite well.
Now,I got to start preparing for the Half-Yearlys which are going to start soon from 26th September.....
Yesterday I was checking out Abhinav Bindra's blog and I thought that it was quite good and just so frank. He's such a simple down-to-earth person and one doesn't comes across such people regularly. He's just so calm and composed and is not even the least affected by the instant stardom that he has achieved in the recent days.
Also, the I-Phone which was expected to be the biggest launch of the year has been launched, but I don't think its becoming too popular among the masses of India and that's because of its huge price tag.Why would anyone take a phone which is available 3 times less its price in other countries?? I guess Indians should now change the perceptions of the world economy and population that Indian buyers are not aware and should demand for competitive prices for electronics stuff.
Coming back to the I-Phone,it lacks some features.Let me go into details:
1.The messages can't be forwarded.
2.Once you get it from a service provider, for example, vodafone or airtel, you can't really opt for any other service provider ever.
3.The 3G services are not really working well in India. There's some disputes and also 3G service is quite expensive.
4.The camera in I-Phone isn't that great. Its just a 2 megapixel camera and that too without any flash.

Also there's stiff competition from 2 other mobiles of the same genre which are better.
There's one nokia N96 ,then there's HTC Touch Diamond and a new Samsung phone(I don't remember the model name).
All of them have 3G and better cameras and are somewhat in the same price category as the Apple I-Phone.
OK. now enough of Tech Talk. Now I have to go and do some work.
Bye

Back to School/....

So,now I'm back to school after a couple of days which seemed too long....
It was fun goin out there and interacting with all the players of different teams and learning something out of their playing style.
yesterday was so hot that I have sun-burnt my face and my nose and my whole face is going reddish black....OWH!! but I'm not complaining, because everything has its consequences which one has to bear....
Any ways today was a not-so-boring day,it was a fine day with nothing much happening out of routine....

bye now....gotta go

Facing the truth of this unfair world....

Hey hi....
Today, All my effort has gone down the drain and that's because we've lost our round 2 of top four teams in the basketball zonals...its really sad and disappointing not only we lost, but also because it was an unfair game....as the players of the opposite team were all big guys aged around 19/20 years and who played for DELHI team, but they played in the junior level with us..
And no one opposed them as they were all professional players and they had faked up all their Date of Birth records...and they are so big damn cheaters....and I have been watching them for 3 years, playing in the junior level...But now whatever has happened can't be changed...I'm happy that we got an opportunity to play with such great players and I'm glad that we had put up a good show against them...and managed to score 11 in comparison to 18 points scored by them.Anyways,it was a good game for me,as I scored 7 points....though I'm sorry that I couldn't convert 2 of the foul shoots...but anyways I learned something outta this game and atleast we're in the top 4 teams of our zone!!
Everything else is great....its going good, though I'll now have to do a little bit of slogging to cover up all the work done in the last couple of days while I was out of the school...
Ok...now I'm tired and have to go...and also I'm short of time today...got loads of work.

Basketball Zonals:Round 1..

Hey hi....
Today, the zonals started...!! It was a hot summer day(as expected). And it was really tiring to stay out in the courts the whole day long and that too in a 'stranger' school which has nothing to explore!!Anyways, our school performed really well today...Sr. Boys won their first round and it was a cake-walk,some other categories got walk-over(i.e.,if the other team doesn't come, the remaining team is the winner)...but,our match was scheduled quite late. So,the others left and we (the team of 6) just waited there for our chance to come....but as they say : " सबर का फल मीठा होता है ." So,after a few minutes of waiting, our match started at last.We first got scared at the sight of the players, they were way too tall for us to handle...but when the game started we were surprised to find that their game basics and techniques were quite 'old school' and all their moves were very much predictable.
So we won the match by 17-6.......out of which I scored 4 points, but I'm not to be blamed as I don't believe in making my points and personal records,I'm the kind of 'game-maker'.

SO we head to the second round.....tomorow we've our next match....
Wish me and my team luck...lets hope for the best!!
Bye gotta go.

Basketball Tour-2008

Hey Hi....
It's been quite a while since my last post...but I didn't had anything substantial to write here...
Anyways the next week,my basketballs zonals are starting...so its gonna be a great time next week atleast, for a couple of days. This time around we have a better chance of winning as we all are in good form and we've been practicing a lot for this. But,you know what, initially I was reluctant to go for the zonals as I didn't want to miss the classes as important chapters are going on in school. But then I thought about it for a very long time and eventually realized that these zonals come only once in a year..so i gotta go and do something for the school.Everything is great, except for one thing which is that we don't have a much bench strength,in normal language,we don't have many extra players. We've only 1 extra player and he's also 'hopeless'.Anyways, lets hope for the best.
Olympics have ended today and India will be back with 3 medals ONLY ,i.e.,1 gold and 2 bronze.
Nothing new out here...
Gotta go

The Greatest Regret Of My life

Hey Hi...
See I'm gonna tell you about my greatest regret of my life....
That's my : BADDDDD HANDWRITING.......!!
I really regret that i dint pay much attention to my writing in the lower classes.....
at that time i was just concentrating on my speed and was 'racing' with my friends for doin the work fastest.Yeah,I was the fastest!!
But now i'm paying the price for it..as I've to face the wrath of all teachers coz of my handwriting.

Anyways,i guess my writing will let me down in boards too....but I'm trying to improve it gradually.
But i think it's the blame of my primary class teachers who should have guided me at that time.
But whatever has happened can't be changed.I'll surely scan a page or two of my registers and show you my 'not-so-beautiful' handwriting..

Bye for now.Got some work to do.

Monday Morning Blues..

Hey Hi...
Today was quite a tiring day.By the way,I find the monday(s) very boring.I mean the time-table is just so awful, its unbearable. No free time..just studies..studies and more studies.
The weekend was good with great weather and loads of sleep. The Olympics are goin good with no controversies n stuff and loads of sporting action. It's great to see 3 Indian boxers in top 8 round.
And i sincerely hope that they bring some laurels for the country.
And yeah,Michael Phelps can't be missed out.Damn, such a great swimmer.
MATTER-OF-FACT:He takes a diet of 12,000 calories daily!! WOW!!

Anyways,it was fun watching the kites soaring high in the sky on the Independence Day,though the rain played as a spoil-sport and the kite-fliers were left soaking in the rain-water.

And yeah,I would like to talk about JEANS.Our whole world revolves around this 5 letter word. That's coz its the most basic dressing style in today's world. Some like to wear dark coloured and fully pressed jeans while some go the 'wild' way and opt for faded and rugged denim and above all, wear it low. I would like to tell that I like wearing Low Jeans...but I'm not that fond of tattered jeans like some 'dudes' prefer to wear. But dunno why??everyone in my house is just after my life to stop this habit of mine of wearing the jeans/pants low.I don't get the point that how's it wrong....I'm not wearing it that low that it's revealing... lol
Its just that it's kinda comfy wearing it low and loose. And but how can I make the folks at my home understand that apart from being comfy,it has some other significance also.Like in my peer group all tend to wear quite low.Sometimes its kinda competition b/w us all...but when teachers come we tend to 'push it up'.So,if i stop wearing low...they'll taunt me as NERDY ...for the rest of my life....
So God please gimme strength to keep on carrying on my fight for low jeans/pant(in school) ...

Cya now....gottta go and catch up on boxing Q/F in Olympics.

THANK GOD!!
The rain just added to fun...as in the last hours we got a chance to have a splash in the rain...
Nothing much to write today and moreoever,I'm short of time. No,now dont think that I'm goin to buy kites for flying tomorow.Anyways,I dont know how to fly a kite and also,I'm not much interested in doin this.Anyways tomorow,i.e., on Independence Day,I'm gonna sleep for long hours till afternoon.then maybe i'll see some kites flying and fighting in the sky.

Bye for now.

Angels n Demons

Hey Hi...

the school was fine today with the Independence Day celebrations... :)
The weather was super good today with loads of rain and cool wind/breeze blowing all day long and yeah wednesdays in skwl are kinda 'light'.

Hey I'm reading Angels and Demons right now. It's a book by Dan Brown.I have also read DA VINCI CODE and i thought that it was the ultimate book. But,I've now realized I was so wrong.....
Damn,Angels and Demons is just outta this world.Damn good storyline, great suspense and sense of mystery just gets my nerves cracking. And I'm fascinated by Ambigrams the most by reading the books.
Lemme give u the official defintion of an Ambigram:
"An ambigram, also sometimes known as an inversion, is a graphical figure that spells out a word not only in its form as presented, but also in another direction or orientation"

Lets see some examples.

Its the spinner if u look it upside down,It looks the same.Isnt it Amazing???

Just move ur neck kind 180 degrees(I'm not sure)....What I mean is that both the ways it looks the same.....I know ur neck will be aching by now.SORRY for that.

Anyways these are very fascinating things and all the symbologists around the world regard them as a very high form of art.

I'm goin to complete this book in a day or two and I'm eagerly waiting for its movie which is set to release in early 2009.

Bye for now.gotta complete the book.

Olympics Started...

Hey Hi..
I'm glad that Olympics have started coz now i'll get to see some quality sports. The opening ceremony was just so awesome.Damn,I mean it was some solid stuff which i've haven't seen anywhere.I salute to the creativity of the CHINKIES(chinese) for putting up such a grand show.
Check out some of the pics of the ceremony.I guess the whole experience can't be captured in a small shot.

I guess you would have liked these shots.

Anyways, a good news for all the Indians, living in India and abroad. A lad named Abhinav Bindra has won a gold medal in the Men's 10m Air Rifle in Beijing on August 11 with an incredible performance in the final. Bindra shot a total score of 700.5.He's from Chandigarh.

Check out these winning moments.

CHEERS...!!

So now with the exams being over, the results are coming out one by one.I guess I've done fairly well.

So bye for now.Rock on Indians.

AFTERMATH

Hey Hi!!
See today's post title :"AFTERMATH" is both literally and figuratively applicable thats coz today was my math exam and it's over so i'm gonna tell you about wat happened in and after the exam
and also this math paper was a kind of a battle which has ended so I'm gonna tell you the aftermath of the war. lolz

See in the morn I was totally ready to go and give the paper but before the paper Naman (my friend) brought me a question and when i started doin it ....i just couldnt solve it...
so my all my confidence (which i had built up in the weekend) fell down and was broken into pieces. In other words, मैं चूर-चूर हो गया .
Then it turned out that the paper was scheduled after the break so i got some time to make up...
then all of us (i mean me n my frnds) sat all the 4 periods and did a lot of math.
Then it was the time of the exam and i again went with a lot of confidence in the examination hall
and then the paper was given.Man, I tell you i was feelin like that i should throw this paper coz it was way too easy and damn, why the teachers make us do so much math when they have to give this easy paper.... lolz
anyways everyone was happy after the paper as everyone found the paper relatively easy.
So now 2 down and 3 papers are left.Next is English.
Also as I had done the paper very quickly I tried to make an ambigram of my name (as I'm inspired by the book angels and demons which i'm currently reading.).I'll tell you what an ambigram is in my next post...as i'm short of time today.

Bye gotta go and study english.

Everyone was Happy and satisfied with what they have done in the paper....
next paper is Math one and though the syllabus is quite less with only trigonometry coming...
